Your Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on the Astrological Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the community. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to players developing strong opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that emphasize their personalities, one idea naturally: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a strong ally; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed passion for treats. Many past Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the soul of every party, providing an constant stream of chatter to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a intense sign known for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always surprised expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress more about others.
Scorpio – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and vowed retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the identical energy as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's description says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
