Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in an LA Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
