The Summer I Turned Pretty Reaches an Emotional Conclusion

Warning: Spoilers for the ending of The Hit Show

The Summer I Turned Pretty, among the hottest TV programs of the year, has reached its emotional finale after months of anticipation about how its romantic dilemma storyline would conclude.

The series' third and final season revolves around the protagonist and her dilemma between Jeremiah, her former fiancé and his rival in love, Conrad.

Many viewers were supporting Conrad, with emotions so strong that the show's team and creator the writer recently told fans to stop sending hate to the cast members online.

The last installment was released on this week, and started with the brooding character startling the main character by showing up in the City of Light on the night before her special day.

The Winner Takes It All

He departs, but she runs through the streets to stop him—accompanied by a popular song—and declares her feelings on his train and announces her decision.

"If there are infinite worlds, each incarnation of myself chooses you in all cases," she declares.

"She picked Conrad!" posted one fan on social media with a background music of an iconic song.

"This is perfect," wrote another with emotional symbols. "It happened!," said another.

Comfort Viewing

Fan one supporter, young, held a screening gathering in a UK location. She explained to a radio program that she started watching the series over recent years—and is now addicted.

She hosted the gathering to donate to organizations—and to build community.

"It seemed like a good way to collect donations and to bring people together where fans could gather. The show is something I really enjoyed—and I know a lot of people feel the same.

"My friend put me on to the series—I'm a similar age to Belly, so it's also a personal link. Season three focuses on her personal growth, so in that sense I can see myself... but I've avoided two brothers vying for my attention!"

A Cultural Moment

The platform has announced that the final season debut brought in 25 million viewers in its first week, hit number one on the platform in across the globe, and is its top-performing season among a key demographic.

"That is a real person, and just because they're famous doesn't mean that it's not difficult to experience those things."
