Meghan made a surprise appearance at the Parisian fashion event this past weekend to support a fashion designer friend.

She was present at the Balenciaga show after making a solo trip across the Atlantic.

She has worn several creations by the fashion house's new creative director Piccioli and the visit reflected "her backing of his latest creative phase," a spokesman for the royal said.

It was her first time at the style showcase for more than a decade.

"Over the years, the royal figure has worn a number of designs by the designer," the spokesman said.

"They have worked closely together on designing for important events on the world stage."

"She has long admired his craftsmanship and contemporary grace, and tonight was no different."

"This evening represents the peak of many years of artistry and companionship, reflected in her support for his new creative chapter at the fashion house."

The duchess, who shared her presence in Paris with an social media post, chose a white outfit of flowing pants and a blazer from the line for the show on Saturday.

Meghan is most recently noted to have traveled to the United Kingdom in September 2022 to participate in a charity event and was in the country when the late Queen died. The couple then stayed on for the funeral.

Prince Harry met his parent, the monarch recently amid speculation about a reconciliation.

Harry has made several trips to the UK in recent years for a range of activities including for charity events and to attend court cases.

This week, the Duke of Sussex appeared to dial in for a High Court hearing in a lawsuit against the publishing group.
