Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs within a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts are a result of the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August with a value of $8.4bn.
More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm intending to reveal full details during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Prior news had indicated that Paramount was looking to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, Paramount employed nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 project-based staff.
