American politicians from each parties are pointing fingers as many of employees are on furlough and the shutdown drags on with no conclusion in prospect.

Democrats have resisted to endorse the Republican budget proposal unless ending healthcare subsidies that they argue many laboring parents rely on are renewed.

The Republican Party want the opposition to pass a temporary bill first and then they can address the support payments.

This California resident is worried about the broad effect of the funding halt on ordinary people.

The Republicans have 53 supporters, they require 60 to approve the bill. Could it be that hard to reach agreement over 7 supporters so that US citizens are protected?

If this continues for an extended period, the bottom line is US citizens are being hurt, US residents are being touched by this and someone should do something to be the responsible party in the room.

I believe sometimes legislators are so distant from ordinary citizens, the average individual managing daily affairs, so they overlook what the challenge is like and I think they must remember that, notably if it's 750,000 Americans that are not getting paid.

That's a large group of people missing wages, that's a large group of citizens not putting their income toward the economic system. Americans are just being negatively impacted.

I'm nervous because there is no positive result with the federal government being closed.

I am unsure if the Democratic leadership has a game plan for an exit strategy to negotiations or how to guide the party beyond this.

I question if the Democrats have a strong enough narrative to the public on what they're pursuing.

In terms of social media messaging, the GOP certainly have the upper hand. The messaging is not persuasive on what Democrats are attempting.

I'm presently at a juncture where I'm kind of nervous because government shutdowns harm everyone.

I'm going to be fine, but for everyone else who depends on the federal system, who hopes to go visit a National Park or museum, they're going to be impacted, if not currently, then in the short term.

And that is unreasonable.

The political figure is a intimidator and if you yield to a intimidator he's going to expect additional concessions, that's how such individuals operate. So you have to confront a intimidator to make him realise you're not going to surrender for free.

The point when it becomes too much is when the Democrats start suffering in the PR battle, if the perception turns to blaming the Democrats then it might be necessary to end the standoff.

I would believe after the time that the left have had, I would have assumed that they would have agreed to the continuing resolution, at least in the short term.

I am all for what the GOP are pursuing, I'm in favor of reducing public expenditure.

The Democrats have become so antagonistic of the administration, regardless of what he suggests I believe they would find cause to fight him.
